Alessandro Simonini (IT, 1985) currently lives and works in Milan.
He graduated in Philosophy Aesthetics and in Visual Arts (DAMS), University of Bologna.
In his work he is a researcher before he is artist. His research begins where the question arises about the origin of the work of art which essentially has to do with truth. Through sculpture and installation his interest in philosophy, occult and esotericism brings him to develop a narrative that turns the exhibition space into a place where self-awareness and symbol interact alchemically with the viewer. A scientific approach to matter processes and the methodological integration of new technologies and traditional techniques become the structural signs of his practice.
His ultimate purpose is to let the work be in its pure existence in itself.
